Roots Fruits & Flowers My second voyage was to Roots Fruits and Flowers on Great Western Road in the heart of Kelvinbridge. An interesting concept with a wholefoods and organic shop selling fresh produce, a florist and then finally the café. Having walked past the shop hundreds of times as I live locally, so I was keen to go in and give it a shot. The café attracts a diverse crowd, from families stopping in for a bite to students grabbing a quick coffee while tackling some work, as well as shoppers fresh from the florist or whole foods shop.  As a result, it usually has a lively, bustling atmosphere. On first impression the café has a rustic but welcoming feel to it, with many plants dotted around to give the café a fresh natural ambience. The warm wood accents, cosy lighting, and a hint of earthy scents create a comfortable environment that invites customers to relax and enjoy their time. Blog 1- Caffe Mulberry

  Caffe Mulberry For my first venture I decided the Caffe Mulberry would be a great start. Just a stone's throw away from the University of Strathclyde, this is a real hotspot for students looking for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. Caffe Mulberry has recently gone through a renovation over the summer which has made the outside of the café much more presentable and welcoming. My first impressions upon entering was that they have gone for a mixture of an old school rustic feel to the front of the house and a more modern look to the seating area. The front the house has chalkboards detailing the Menu and any special offers on and a wooden interior which also adds to this old school look. The seating however has a much modern atmosphere with marble tables, new chairs and a tartan bench which stretches the full length of the Café.
